Hawthorn Berries - October - November 2025

Berries picked when RED.  Two pickings; October when leaves till on branches, and November, when only the berries are there; easy to see, but they are darker red,

Hawthorn dyed Erin silk

First soak in the berry dye; result dark lilac on drying. This may fade to more pink.

I choose a silk type to take up the first strong pigment release, then add subsequent silks for paler colours.
